A private charter from Split is essentially a private tour guide, your own speedboat, and a skipper who knows the central Adriatic intimately — all for a fixed price per boat regardless of how many guests come on board. For groups of 4 or more it tends to work out the same per-head as a public tour, but with two big differences: you set the itinerary, and you choose the pace.

We've designed the private fleet for families that want a calm island day, couples planning a proposal, friend groups doing a stag or hen, and corporate teams looking for an away-day that's actually memorable. The boats hold up to 12 guests; private bookings cap at that number so the experience stays personal.

What a private boat day looks like

Most private days follow a rough rhythm — but every detail is negotiable. We typically meet on the Split Riva at the time you prefer (07:00 if you want to beat the Blue Cave queue, later if you want a sleep-in). After a short safety brief we head straight to your first stop. The skipper will have already messaged you a proposed route based on your group's interests and the weather forecast, but you can rewrite it on the boat.

A standard full-day charter is 8 hours of skipper time. Half-days are 5 hours. Both can extend on the day if you decide you want one more swim stop — we just charge a small overtime rate on the spot.

Pricing for private boat charters from Split

Private charter pricing is per boat, not per person. A standard 8-hour day starts around €1,250 (Hvar & Pakleni route), with the longer Blue Cave Private at €1,490 and bespoke routes priced from €1,400. Half-day charters (5 hours, ideal for sunset or a single-island day) start at €750.

Everything is included in those numbers — fuel, two crew, harbour fees, snorkel gear, windjackets, soft drinks and bottled water on board. Cave entry tickets and lunch are extra. We accept card or bank transfer for the deposit; balance on the day in cash or card.

Which private boat tour is right for your group

Couples and small families almost always do Hvar & Pakleni. It is the most photogenic full-day route, the swimming stops are calm, and the lunch on Hvar is hard to beat.

Hen and stag groups in their 20s do the Blue Cave route in the morning and the Party Night Hvar trip on a separate evening. We can co-ordinate both as a single booking.

Multigenerational families and corporate groups tend to prefer the 3-Island route — Brač and Šolta have shorter open-water legs, gentler swimming bays, and the Trogir UNESCO old town as a culture stop.

We've turned down growth in favour of staying small. We own the boats, we employ the skippers, and the same person you message on WhatsApp is the person organising your day. That matters when things change — when wind picks up and we need to swap routes, when your party gets bigger by one person two days before, when you decide actually you want lunch on Brač instead of Hvar.

How to book a private boat from Split

Tell us your dates, group size and any rough idea of where you'd like to go. We'll come back within an hour (working hours, faster on WhatsApp) with a recommended route, a fixed quote, and a hold on the boat. A 15% deposit secures the booking; balance on the day. If we have to cancel for weather you get a full deposit refund or a free reschedule.

For peak July and August we typically have 60–80% of private boat days booked four weeks ahead. Shoulder months are much more flexible — last-minute charters are usually possible, and we sometimes have same-day availability.

Long-form private days — sunset, multi-day, overnight options

Beyond the standard 8-hour private charter, we run a few longer-form options that are quieter on the website but increasingly popular. Sunset cruises (3 hours, 18:00 to 21:00) take a small group around Čiovo and the Brač channel with a chilled bottle on board; perfect for the night before a wedding or as a calmer alternative to a Hvar party night. Tickets start at €450 for the boat.

Multi-day private charters are also possible — typically 2 days with an overnight at Vis or Hvar, where we book the hotel for you and the boat picks you up again in the morning. These are bespoke and priced on request; expect €2,800–€4,500 for a 2-day private boat including overnight accommodation.

Finally, for the truly committed: we have run 5-day island-hopping charters from Split south to Korčula and back. The boat anchors in a different bay each evening, you stay in a small hotel on the relevant island, and the days are entirely yours.
