How Marriott guests reach our boats
The Split Marriott Resort is around 6 km from the central Split Riva, a 12-minute taxi ride or 15 minutes by direct shuttle. The most reliable option for tour days is a complimentary transfer from the Marriott lobby arranged with us when you book your tour — door-to-dock in 15 minutes with no taxi co-ordination required.
For half-day 13:00 departures, some Marriott guests prefer to come into Split a few hours early for lunch on the Riva and a walk through Diocletian's Palace before boarding. The hotel shuttle runs into central Split regularly throughout the day — check the lobby schedule.
Most-booked tours by Marriott guests
The Marriott attracts a mix of resort holidaymakers, families, business-stay extensions and incentive groups. The tour profile reflects that breadth:
- Blue Cave 5-Island Tour — €119/person, the must-do flagship
- Hvar & Pakleni Private Charter — slower pace, refined
- Golden Horn / Bol Private Tour — calmer water, ideal for families with mixed ages
- Bespoke incentive group day — co-ordinated with Marriott events team
Marriott-specific timing tips
The Marriott breakfast service typically runs 06:30–11:00 — early enough to easily handle the 07:30 Blue Cave departure with a proper sit-down breakfast. The 06:30 start is genuinely helpful; many Split hotels don't open breakfast until 07:30 and you end up with a takeaway.
Coming back to the resort at 17:30, the Marriott pools and spa are excellent for a long, slow post-tour wind-down. Dinner can be either at the resort or back in central Split via the shuttle.
Families and multi-generation groups
The Marriott is popular with multi-generational families (kids, parents, grandparents) on a longer holiday. For those groups our Golden Horn / Bol private tour is often the right call — calmer water than the Blue Cave run, a beautiful long lunch in Bol, less time on the open Adriatic, and easy access for less-mobile guests.
The Blue Lagoon & Trogir half-day is also family-friendly and fits a relaxed resort day — leave at 12:00 from the Marriott, on the boat at 13:00, back by 18:00 for dinner.
Incentive and corporate groups
The Marriott hosts incentive trips, corporate retreats and business meetings regularly. We routinely build boat days for these groups — typically a private charter for 10–12 people on the Hvar & Pakleni route, with a pre-booked Hvar lunch and a chilled bottle on board. The Marriott events team is excellent at co-ordinating, and we work directly with them.
Tell us your group size and dates a couple of weeks ahead and we'll prepare a tailored quote and itinerary. For larger groups (20–60 people), we operate multi-boat convoys with co-ordinated swim and lunch stops, and we can arrange branded onboard collateral (water bottles, photo backdrops, custom playlists) for company events. We've worked with sales kick-offs, board retreats, milestone-anniversary corporate trips and tech-conference attached programs over the years.
Invoicing flows through a single VAT invoice in EUR or USD against your event PO. If you need a custom procurement contract or specific insurance documentation, ask us early and we'll loop in our accountant; everything is straightforward as long as we know the requirements 2 weeks ahead.
The Marriott resort day — pools, beaches and central Split visits
The Marriott's resort facilities are deliberately holiday-shaped: multiple outdoor pools, a private beach section with sunbeds and umbrellas, a Bonita beach club for daytime drinks and music, and a full-service spa. Around the boat day, the right rhythm for a 5-night Marriott stay is usually: pool/beach day on arrival, boat day midweek with us, central Split day via shuttle for Diocletian's Palace and dinner, a recovery beach day, then a final morning at the spa before departure.
For dinner outside the resort, take the resort shuttle into central Split (15 minutes) and book one of three places: Konoba Matejuška for grilled fish on the western harbour, Bokeria Kitchen & Wine Bar for modern Mediterranean small plates, or Mazzgoon for a refined wine-pairing dinner inside the old palace lanes. The Marriott concierge can book any of them and arrange shuttle return.
What to skip at the resort: the in-house excursion desk forwards most boat bookings to large coach operators. For the boat day, book direct with us — small group, fast speedboat, real local skipper. The cost difference is small and the experience difference is significant.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best time of year for a boat tour from the Marriott?
June and September are the sweet spots — warm sea, smaller crowds, calm weather. The Marriott pool is heated, which keeps it usable from April through October. Peak July and August need the boat to be booked 2–3 weeks ahead.
How far is the Marriott Resort Split from the boat meeting point?
About 6 km — 12 minutes by taxi or 15 minutes by direct shuttle to the central Split Riva. We also offer a complimentary transfer from the Marriott lobby when you book your tour with us.
Does the Marriott serve early breakfast on tour mornings?
Yes — breakfast typically starts at 06:30, which is one of the earliest in Split. You can have a full sit-down breakfast before the 07:30 boat departure, with no takeaway needed.
What is the best speedboat tour for a Marriott family?
For multi-generational families with mixed mobility, the Golden Horn / Bol private tour is often the right call — calmer water, beautiful Bol lunch, less open-Adriatic time. For families with kids 5+, the Blue Cave 5-Island Tour also works well.
Can you handle a corporate incentive group from the Marriott?
Absolutely — we regularly run private charters for Marriott incentive groups, typically 10–12 people on the Hvar & Pakleni route with a pre-booked Hvar lunch. Tell us your group size and dates a couple of weeks ahead.
How does the Marriott transfer to your boat work?
Complimentary, included with your direct booking. Our crew meets you in the Marriott lobby 25 minutes before departure (the resort is slightly further out than central hotels). The resort concierge is familiar with our crew.
Can we use the Marriott shuttle to come to the Riva instead?
Yes — the resort shuttle runs to central Split regularly. Check the lobby schedule and plan to arrive on the Riva 15 minutes before departure. Our complimentary transfer is usually simpler for early-morning tours.
Is the Marriott location good for a beach day before or after the tour?
Yes — the Marriott has direct beach access and large pool areas. Many guests do a slow morning on the resort beach, the boat day in the middle of their stay, and a slow recovery day at the resort after.
Do Marriott guests get a special tour rate?
No hotel-tier pricing — we keep one honest rate for everyone. Marriott guests do get complimentary transfer, priority weather reschedules and concierge co-ordination at no extra cost.
