Getting from Hotel Park to our boats

It's a 12-minute walk down to the central Riva via the Bačvice promenade — a genuinely lovely walk past the beach and the old swimming clubs, especially in the morning. Alternatively a taxi from the Park to the Riva is 5 minutes and €5–€7.

Bačvice-specific logistics

Hotel Park is uphill from the Riva, which matters in two practical ways. First, breakfast service runs 07:00 to 10:30 — for our 07:30 boat you'll want a quick coffee-and-pastry from the lobby (the concierge can arrange this the night before). Second, you'll come back to the Park in the evening hot and salty; the hotel's pool is the perfect post-tour stop before dinner.

If you're coming back from the boat around 17:30, the Bačvice beach is right below the hotel — many Park guests do a quick swim in calm Bačvice water before walking up to the hotel for a shower. The beach has fresh-water showers and a clean changing area.

Parking and family logistics

Park has on-site parking, which makes it easy if you drove into Split for the holiday. Leave the car at the hotel for the duration of the tour — there's no advantage to driving toward the Riva, and parking near the dock is heavily restricted.

If you're travelling with kids, Park is one of the easier Split hotels — there's a pool, a playground in the adjacent park, and Bačvice beach is shallow for young children. Coming back at 17:30, you'll have time to clean up at the hotel and walk back down to the Riva for dinner. The seafood restaurants at the eastern end of the Riva are 15 minutes from Park on foot — book ahead in peak season.

Hotel Park's location above Bačvice gives you access to one of Split's most underrated evening rituals. Even if you don't play, watching the players in the golden hour light is a quintessential Split moment, and the cafés along the Bačvice waterfront are excellent for a sundowner.

The other Hotel Park hidden detail: the Sustipan park behind the hotel has the best harbour photo views in Split, especially at sunset. A 5-minute walk from the lobby and you're looking back over the whole Split peninsula with the islands behind it. Don't miss it — many Park guests do, because the path isn't obvious from the lobby.
