About Navy Blue Yachting

A family business born from a passion for the sea

Our Story

Born from a Passion for the Sea

Navy Blue Yachting was founded by a lifelong sailor with over 15 years of experience on the Adriatic. Based in Split, we share our deep knowledge of Croatia's islands and coastline through unforgettable speedboat tours. Our crew are all graduates of the Faculty of Maritime Studies at the University of Split — professionals who love what they do and it shows.

Every season we work the same routes — Blue Cave at first light, Hvar before the crowds, the Blue Lagoon on a calm midday — and we still love it. That enthusiasm is something guests notice immediately.

The Crew

Our Crew

Every skipper and guide on our team has spent hundreds of hours navigating these waters in all conditions. They're not just licensed professionals — they're locals who know the hidden bays, the best snorkeling spots, and the secret beaches that don't appear on any tourist map. On every tour, their goal is simple: to give you the most memorable day of your holiday.

Ante, Co-founder & Engineer at Navy Blue Yachting

Ante

Co-founder & Engineer

Co-founder with over 15 years on the sea and a background in shipbuilding. Ante keeps both boats in peak condition and personally inspects each one before every departure — engine, safety kit, life jackets, radio, flares. The boats run the way they do because he built and maintains them.

Marinko, Co-founder & Skipper at Navy Blue Yachting

Marinko

Co-founder & Skipper

Co-founder and one of the two captains who built Navy Blue Yachting from a single boat. Over 20 years on the Adriatic and a lifelong passionate fisherman — he reads sea conditions the way most people read a weather app. If you are on a flagship Blue Cave day in shoulder season, he is most likely the captain.

Paolo, Skipper at Navy Blue Yachting

Paolo

Skipper

Skipper with more than 10 years of Adriatic experience. Calm under pressure, methodical about safety, and the captain we trust with the most cautious guests — families with young kids, first-time-on-a-boat travellers, anyone nervous about open water. With Paolo at the wheel the day is smooth on purpose.

Luka, Sailor & Guest Host at Navy Blue Yachting

Luka

Sailor & Guest Host

Five seasons on board, and the crew member most guests remember by name. Luka pours drinks, fits snorkel masks, helps kids climb back up the ladder, and answers every question about Dalmatian islands you can think of. If the boat feels like a relaxed afternoon among friends, that is largely Luka.

Our Fleet

Our Fleet

We operate Enzo 35 and Mercan Excursion 36 speedboats — both over 36 feet in length. Our boats are equipped with music systems, front shade canopies and large rear sundecks. Fast, comfortable and built for the Adriatic. Maximum 12 guests per boat.

Navy Blue Yachting fleet — large, comfortable Adriatic speedboats

Two large, comfortable, safe speedboats

Our fleet is built around two 36-foot day-cruisers — a Mercan Excursion 36 and an Enzo 35 — both powered by twin 480hp diesels and built for the same job: a relaxed, fast and confident Adriatic day. Wide hulls, deep freeboards and proper rear sundecks; this is not a rib that throws spray at everyone behind the helm. On the open Adriatic crossing to Vis you stay dry, comfortable and warm — and the boat handles a moderate bora without flinching.

Capacity is capped at up to 14 passengers per boat so nobody is cramped, with a front shade canopy and a large rear sundeck on both. Identical safety kits — life jackets, EPIRB, VHF, flares, fire extinguishers — are checked before every departure.

  • 480hp twin diesel — strong crossings
  • Up to 14 passengers per boat
  • Front shade canopy
  • Large rear sundeck
  • Panoramic seating area
  • Bluetooth music system
  • Full safety kit on board
  • Cold water + drinks included

Safety First

Every Trip Is Fully Equipped

Before every departure, Marinko runs a full safety check. We carry the complete legally required kit — and then some. If conditions are not safe, we don't go out. If conditions deteriorate on the water, we have a plan.

Our 480hp diesel twin-engine boats give us the speed and reliability needed to adapt quickly to changing sea states, and to ensure guests are never stranded.

Life jackets for all passengers (EN ISO 12402)
Pyrotechnic flares (day & night)
First-aid kit (fully stocked)
VHF marine radio (channel 16)
Fire extinguisher (2× per boat)
EPIRB emergency beacon
Anchor & bilge pump
Radar reflector
