The Blue Lagoon private tour from Split is the half-day private boat charter for travellers who want the postcard version of Dalmatia: turquoise lagoon, a beach bar, and UNESCO Trogir, without sharing the boat with strangers. Same 4.5-hour route as our popular group tour, but the boat is exclusively yours: your family, your friends, your pace.

Because it is a private charter, the timings flex around you. Want longer in the water at the Drvenik Blue Lagoon, a slower coffee at the beach bar, or extra time to walk Trogir? Just tell the skipper: there are no other guests to wait for.
We leave Split and the first stop is the Drvenik Blue Lagoon, a sheltered channel between Drvenik Mali and Veli where the water is knee-deep, white-sand turquoise and warm enough for real snorkelling on the Adriatic. Snorkelling gear is included; bottled water and a wind jacket are on board. Next is Beach Bar Borko on the Drvenik coast: a cocktail, a cold beer or a coffee with your feet in the water. The final stop is Trogir, the UNESCO World Heritage town founded in the 3rd century BC, packed onto a tiny island linked to the mainland by two stone bridges: marble cathedral square, the bell tower of St Lawrence, and a gelato along the riva before the calm Kaštela channel back to Split.

The short day, done privately
Not every group wants ten hours on the water. This is the half-day route, the Blue Lagoon and UNESCO Trogir, with the boat to yourselves. Whole boat, up to twelve guests, €600-700 depending on the date.
The point of doing a short day privately is the departure time. The group half-day runs at fixed morning and afternoon slots; privately you leave when it suits, which matters if you are working around a cruise ship arrival, a nap, or a lunch reservation somebody already made.
The Blue Lagoon is genuinely shallow
The channel between Drvenik Mali and Drvenik Veli sits over white sand and is knee-deep in places, which is why it photographs the way it does. It is also why it works for people who do not swim confidently: you can stand a long way out, and the snorkelling is easy enough that children take to it in minutes.
It is about thirty-five minutes from Split, entirely inside sheltered water. On a private boat you anchor where the skipper says the light is best rather than where the fleet has already gathered.
Trogir in an hour
Founded in the 3rd century BC, packed onto an island the size of a few city blocks and connected to the mainland by two stone bridges. The cathedral of St Lawrence has the Radovan portal, the most important piece of Romanesque sculpture in Croatia, and the bell tower is climbable if anyone in the group has the legs for it.
An hour covers the square, the cathedral and a gelato on the riva. Two hours covers lunch as well, and privately you can take the second hour.
What the boat works out to
With a full boat of 12, €50 each from 1 May to 15 June and 20 September to 30 October and €58.33 each from 16 June to 19 September, both less than the €70 group seat, which costs the same all season, for a shorter, faster, entirely private version of the same route. The boat costs no more than the seats from 10 guests.
Below that, the group half-day is the better buy and the boat is the same one. Above it, there is no argument.
Skipper, sailor, fuel, mooring, insurance, snorkel gear and water are included. This route has no entrance fees anywhere, which makes it the easiest day on the list to budget.

Our fleet
Whichever boat you board, it is the same day
The fleet is Mercan Excursion 36 and Enzo 35 hulls, eleven metres, twin 480hp diesels, and every one of them fitted the same way: hardtop forward, full sundeck aft, the same seating and the same lockers. There is no better boat and no lesser boat to be assigned to.
That matters more than it sounds. A group too large for one hull travels together on our own boats instead of being split between operators, and a boat that has to come off the water moves you across rather than cancelling your day. On the crossing to Biševo, eleven metres and a deep freeboard under a hardtop are the difference between a boat that is comfortable at speed and one that is merely fast. Every departure is held to twelve guests per boat, and the safety kit is identical on each: life jackets in adult and child sizes, EPIRB, VHF radio, flares and fire extinguishers, checked before the lines come off.

What if the sea is rough or the weather changes?
Safety comes first, and the skipper decides whether the planned route can run. When the weather rules out the planned route, the choice is yours: another route that same day, a new date free of charge, or a full refund of everything you paid.
Can I cancel or change my booking?
More than 7 days before departure: free of charge, and everything you paid is refunded. 7 days or less before departure, or a no-show: we keep the 15% deposit and refund everything paid above it, with nothing further to pay. 7 days means 168 hours before the departure time. Moving your booking to another date is free at any time before departure, within the same season, as long as there is space on the boat. Weather rules out the route? You choose: another route that day, a new date free of charge, or a full refund.
Can children join this tour?
Yes, children can come, but we do not recommend this tour for children under 5: hours on a fast speedboat are a lot for a small child. The ride is also not recommended for pregnant guests or anyone with serious back or neck problems.
Do I need to bring food?
Bottled water and snorkeling equipment are included, but lunch is not included. Bring snacks, water, sun protection, and some cash for lunch or entrance fees.
Where can we be picked up?
Private tours start from the Riva in Split, or the boat comes to you by sea at a nearby marina or a waterfront hotel. Pickup is free within 3 nautical miles of the Riva; farther is possible too, with the boat's run there charged, price on request.
Are there extra entrance fees?
Most route stops do not require entrance fees. If an optional stop has a local fee, the crew will let you know before departure.
What should I bring on board?
Bring swimwear, towel, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, a light layer for wind, and a phone or camera. A wind jacket is provided on board.
