How Luxe guests reach our boats

Hotel Luxe is on Kralja Zvonimira 6, 21000 Split — about 550 metres from the central Split Riva. The walk down via Kralja Zvonimira street and the eastern Riva promenade takes 7 minutes and passes the Green Market (a nice morning detour for fresh fruit and pastries). For tour days we also offer a complimentary pickup from the Luxe reception if you'd rather not navigate the walk early in the morning.

You'll get a GPS pin for the meeting point via WhatsApp the day before. The Riva eastern marker is unambiguous in daylight and we'll wave you in.

Luxe-specific timing notes

Hotel Luxe's breakfast service runs 07:00–11:00. For our 07:30 Blue Cave departure you'll want either a quick 06:45 takeaway from the lobby (the team handles this routinely) or the post-tour late breakfast option if you've chosen the half-day tour at 13:00.

Coming back to Luxe at 17:30, the hotel's compact spa and the easy walk to Riva restaurants make for a smooth evening. Most Luxe guests we know spend the evening within a 10-minute walk of the hotel — the seafood places at the eastern end of the Riva are excellent.

Parking and logistics

Luxe has limited on-site parking but the nearby Bačvice garage is a 4-minute walk and reliable for tour days. If you've driven to Split for the holiday, leave the car at the hotel/garage and walk to the Riva. There's no advantage to driving toward the boat.

For airport transfers either direction, the eastern Riva is also where airport shuttles drop off — making Luxe an unusually convenient base for guests arriving the day of (or before) a boat tour.

Group bookings from Hotel Luxe

Luxe is a popular pre-night hotel for group trips arriving in Split for a longer Croatia itinerary. We see meaningful repeat bookings for stag and hen groups (Party Night Hvar private tour is a standard), corporate groups (Hvar & Pakleni private charter), and multi-generational family trips (3-Island route ending in Trogir).

If you're in a group of 8–12, the private charter often works out the same per-head as group tours, with full flexibility on route and timing. Message us with your group size and dates and we'll compare honestly. For larger groups we run multiple boats in convoy — common for stag/hen weekends of 14–20 people, where we'll co-ordinate the boats to swim and lunch at the same stops and split into two boats only for the open-water legs.

Practical tip for Luxe group bookings: WhatsApp us before you book accommodation, because we can advise on whether your dates have full boat availability. We've had a few cases where a group locked Luxe rooms for a peak weekend and then discovered all our boats were already taken — sad outcome. Lock the boats first, then book the hotel.

Eastern Riva and Bačvice — what to do near Luxe

Hotel Luxe's eastern-old-town location is one of the more underrated bases in Split — close enough to the Riva to walk to dinner, far enough from the cruise-ship crush to actually sleep. The neighbourhood between Luxe and Bačvice has a genuinely local feel: the Green Market opens at 06:30, the morning bakeries are run by people who recognise you after the second visit, and the pedestrian alleys behind the hotel are good walking routes for an evening espresso.

Restaurants within a 7-minute walk of Luxe: Šperun (modern Dalmatian, our favourite for the night after a boat day), Restaurant Boban (refined seafood with a wine cellar), Pizzeria Galija (casual family meal that locals actually use), and Konoba Lučica (small, traditional, hidden in the alley network). For coffee in the morning, D16 Coffee on the Riva is 8 minutes and serves the best espresso in central Split.

If you have a free afternoon at Luxe, the easiest plan is the Bačvice promenade — 6 minutes to the beach, an hour swimming, and the sea-front cafés serve very good ice cream. The picigin players come out at sunset (a local ball game played in shallow water) and watching them is one of the best free Split rituals.
