Why Hvar for a bachelorette
Hvar is the most photographed island town in Croatia, the most fashionable destination on the Dalmatian coast, and has the best nightlife in the region. For a bachelorette weekend, it ticks every box: beautiful, social, photo-friendly, and lively.
A private boat from Split to Hvar handles the transport with style — no ferry queues, no scheduled returns, full flexibility.
The day version vs the night version
Day version: Hvar and Pakleni Islands private tour. Leave Split 09:00, swim in the Pakleni Islands, lunch in Hvar, a quiet bay, return 19:00. Calm, photogenic, perfect for groups that want sun and water.
Night version: Party Night Hvar private transfer. Leave Split 21:00, in Hvar by 22:00, party until 03:00 or 04:00, boat back. Full nightlife focus.
Many bachelorette groups do both — day boat for the swim and Hvar exploration, night boat for the clubs.

The Pakleni Islands for photography
The Pakleni Islands — pine-covered islets off Hvar — are the most photogenic spot on the Adriatic for group photos. Crystal water, pine silhouettes, secluded bays.
A private boat can anchor at a quieter Pakleni bay where no other boats are. Group photos in the water, on the boat, on a small beach.
Best light: late afternoon, around 17:00 to 18:30 in summer. The sun is lower, the colours warmer, and the harsh midday shadows are gone.
Hvar town as the lunch stop
The marble piazza, the harbour-front terraces, the boutiques in the old town. Hvar is a town to walk and be photographed in.
Book lunch in advance for groups of 6 or more. Top restaurants fill in summer. WhatsApp the operator and they can help with current recommendations and reservations.
After lunch, walk to the Fortica fortress above town (15-minute uphill walk) for the best photo spot — Hvar harbour and the Pakleni Islands stretching below.
The sunset return
Time the return to catch sunset on the open water. Leave Hvar 45 minutes before sunset, arrive Split around sunset.
Sunset times: June around 20:45, July to August 20:15 to 20:30, September 19:15 to 19:45.
The light on the open Adriatic at sunset is gold-warm and dramatic — one of the best 45-minute boat rides you will ever take.

Music, drinks, and atmosphere
Private boats have Bluetooth sound systems. Your playlist, your volume (within marine regulations).
A bottle of Croatian sparkling wine on ice for the sunset return is a popular addition. Mention when booking.
Some operators offer specific bachelorette or hen-party packages with prosecco, snacks, music, and photo coverage. Ask.
Group photography
Coordinate someone to be the photographer — friend with a good phone or DSLR, or hire a professional photographer for the day (operator can recommend).
Plan key shots in advance: group on the boat deck, in the water, on the marble Hvar piazza, at sunset on the boat.
The skipper or sailor can take group photos at moments when nobody wants to step out — they have done it many times.
Costs
Private Hvar and Pakleni Islands day: €1,200 per boat for 10 hours.
Private Hvar night transfer: €1,100 for 8 hours.
For 8 people: day €150 each, night €138 each.
Plus lunch (€25 to €40 each in Hvar), drinks, club covers if doing nightlife.
Combining day and night
A common pattern: day Hvar tour Saturday returning 19:00, dinner in Split, evening rest, night Hvar transfer Sunday for clubs.
Or: Saturday morning to Pakleni Islands and lunch in Hvar, return early, sunset dinner in Split, optional Hvar night transfer that night.
Two boat days in a weekend is intensive but memorable. Build a rest morning before flying out.
Things to bring
Swimwear, a change of clothes for Hvar lunch, towels.
Sunscreen, hats, sunglasses — non-negotiable.
Camera or charged phones, waterproof phone cases.
Cash for lunch and any small purchases (€50 each).
Outfit for evening if planning the night session in Hvar — change at a Hvar hotel restroom or back in Split.
