How Atrium guests reach our boats

Hotel Atrium is at Domovinskog rata 49a in Spinut, about 2 km from the central Split Riva. It's an 8-minute taxi ride (€8–€10) or a 20-minute walk down through the Sustipan park and along the harbour edge. We offer a complimentary transfer from the Atrium reception when you book your tour — particularly useful for early-morning Blue Cave departures.

The walk down through Sustipan park is genuinely scenic if you have the time — past the old cemetery, the Marjan ridge, and out onto the western harbour. Many Atrium guests do it once during their stay and take taxis or our transfer the rest of the time.

Most-booked tours by Atrium guests

Atrium attracts a slightly more international, business-savvy crowd than the heritage hotels inside the palace. We see a strong mix of bookings:

Atrium timing and breakfast notes

Atrium breakfast runs 06:30–10:30, which makes it one of the easier Split hotels for our 07:30 boat departure — you can have a proper sit-down breakfast at 06:30 and still make the transfer on time. Get the buffet's smoked-salmon plate and a strong espresso; you'll be glad of it on the morning open-water leg.

Coming back to Atrium at 17:30, the spa is the obvious next stop. The Atrium pool is heated and open until 21:00 — a perfect post-tour wind-down before dinner. We'd recommend a Riva restaurant for dinner; a taxi back at the end of the night is €8.

Spinut location advantages

Atrium's Spinut location is sometimes seen as a downside (you're not 'in' the old town), but for boat tour guests it's actually well-positioned. You're 2 km from the Riva, but you're also near the Marjan peninsula and the Bene beach — perfect for a slow Split day before or after your tour day. Marjan has the best swimming spots in the city limits and the photo views over the harbour.

On tour day, our transfer collects you at 06:55 for the 07:30 boat. Total journey: 8 minutes. Easier than driving yourself anywhere.

Corporate and group bookings

Atrium hosts a meaningful share of corporate events and conference attendees who add a weekend on at the end. We routinely build group boat days for these guests — typically a private charter of 8–12 people, with a pre-booked Hvar lunch and a bottle of Plavac Mali on the return leg. The Atrium events team is excellent at co-ordinating, and we work directly with them on logistics.

If you're planning a team away-day, message us a week or two ahead and we'll prepare a quote and an itinerary tailored to the group's interests. For larger conferences we can run multi-boat convoys (we've handled tech conferences with 50+ attendees split across 5 boats), with co-ordinated swim stops, branded onboard collateral and a single VAT invoice issued to your finance team. Procurement-ready paperwork is available on request.

Practical tip for corporate bookings: lock the dates with us before you confirm event venue capacity at Atrium. Our boats are often booked 6–8 weeks ahead for the highest-demand summer dates and we'd hate to lose your day to a scheduling conflict.

Marjan and the western coastline — Atrium walks

One of the under-appreciated advantages of staying at the Atrium is direct access to the Marjan peninsula — the green forest park on Split's western edge. From the Atrium lobby, walk 8 minutes uphill and you're inside the park; from there a series of well-marked trails takes you to viewpoints, the Vidilica café (best harbour photo in Split), and three small swimming bays (Ježinac, Bene, Kašjuni) within a 25-minute walk of the hotel.

Many Atrium guests pair the boat day with one Marjan morning. Wake at 07:30, walk uphill to Vidilica for a coffee with a view, swim at Kašjuni or Bene (clearer water than central Split), and back to the hotel for late breakfast. It's the slow Mediterranean rhythm Atrium's location enables and most guests miss because they don't realise how close the park is.

For dinner, the Atrium's in-house restaurant is reliable, but the most interesting eating is in the old town (8-minute taxi). Konoba Matejuška for fish, Bokeria for small plates, Apetit for traditional Dalmatian inside a hidden courtyard. The Atrium concierge can book any of them.
